'Tis: It is를 합쳐 한 음절로 줄인 것. 'twill: it will을 합쳐 한 음절로 줄인 것. steal away: 몰래 떠나다. 살그머니 가다. give little warning: 미리 경고할 것 없다. 미리 알리지 말라. thine: your의 옛 어법. Good-Night: 잠자기 전에 하는 밤인사. Night은 여기에서 죽음을 암시한다. clime: 지방. 나라. Bid: 인사말을 하다. Good-Morning: 아침 인사. Morning은 여기에서 새 세계에서의 새로운 탄생을 암시한다. * 시 전문 Life Life! Life! we have been long together, Through pleasant and through cloudy weather;      ’Tis hard to part when friends are dear;      Perhaps ’twill cost a sigh, a tear;— Then steal away, give little warning,           Choose thine own time; Say not Good-night, but in some brighter clime           Bid me Good-morning! 애너 리티셔 바볼드 Anna Laetitia Barbauld (1743-1825) 영국 시인. 레스터셔 주, 킵워스에서 태어나 학교에 다니지 않고 어머니의 교육을 받았다. 부친이 신학 강사로 랭커셔 주 위링턴으로 가게 되었을 때 15세이던 애너는 그곳에서 나중에 저명 성직자이자 저술가가 된 조지프 프리스틀리(Joseph Priestley) 부부를 만난다. 1772년에 첫 시집 출판. 1774년에 결혼한 뒤 한 동안 육아에 헌신하면서 목사인 남편과 서포크의 폴그레이브의 학교 운영을 돕는다. 1778-1779년에 세 권으로 된 책 Lessons for Children을, 1781년에는 Hymns in Prose for Children를 출판한다. 이어 햄스테드로 거처를 옮긴 뒤 정치평론가이자 시인으로 활약한다. 이때의 노예무역에 대한 그녀의 공격은 지금도 널리 알려져 있다. 1802년에 런던 근교로 이사하여 편집일을 주업으로 삼게 된다. 1808년에 정신질환이 있었던 남편이 그녀를 공격한 뒤 병원에 수용되었다가 같은 해 투신자살하는 일이 벌어진다. 애너가 마지막 발표한 글은 1811년에 낸 반전시(反戰詩) "Eighteen Hundred and Eleven"였다.   Wilma Goich - Ho capito che ti amo (당신을 사랑하고 있음을 알았어요)
